Role Description The Swing Shift Manager Truck Care is a full-time, on-site leadership role based at the Love’s Travel Stop in Post Falls, ID. This role oversees Truck Care operations during the swing shift, including supervising team members, monitoring customer service, and ensuring adherence to safety, cleanliness, and company standards. The Swing Shift Truck Care Manager coordinates staffing and shift coverage, assists with training and coaching team members, and supports inventory control, cash handling, and basic reporting. This position responds to customer concerns, helps resolve operational issues in real time, and partners with other managers to maintain consistent performance across all shifts. The role requires being present on the sales floor, leading by example, and promoting a positive, inclusive work environment.
Qualifications
- Leadership and team management skills, including the ability to supervise, coach, and support diverse team members during the swing shift.
- Customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with guests, resolve issues, and maintain “Clean Places, Friendly Faces.”
- Operational and organizational skills for overseeing store routines, managing time and priorities, and supporting inventory and cash-handling procedures.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle unexpected situations, ensure safety, and maintain compliance with company policies.
- Basic math and computer skills for handling transactions, completing reports, and using point-of-sale and store management systems.
- Ability to work on-site in Post Falls, ID on swing shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Previous experience in retail, convenience store, travel center, or hospitality management is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business, management, or a related field is a plus.
