About This Role
This internship offers the opportunity to join a Mobile Core Engineering team, focusing on building critical diagnostic applications and low-level iOS SDKs for millions of global devices. The role is ideal for a final-year student or recent graduate with an advanced conceptual understanding of Computer Science and iOS fundamentals.
Responsibilities
- Join the Mobile Core Engineering team to build mission-critical diagnostic applications and low-level iOS SDKs used across millions of global devices
- Implement automated device test suites interacting directly with native hardware frameworks (Battery, Ambient Light Sensors, Camera, Biometrics, LCD, CoreNFC)
- Translate complex functional tickets, flowcharts, and pseudo-logic into highly optimized, modular Swift (and Objective-C) code
- Update internal frameworks, ensuring strict type safety, backward compatibility, and robust serialization/deserialization
- Build and maintain real-time socket communication (TCP/WebSockets) between iOS devices and desktop diagnostic software
Requirements
- Zero professional experience required, but advanced conceptual understanding of Computer Science and iOS fundamentals
- Final-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Deep, under-the-hood knowledge of Memory Management (ARC, retain cycles), Concurrency (GCD, async/await), and UIKit/SwiftUI View Lifecycles
- Mastery of Swift (Protocols, Closures, Generics), strong algorithmic thinking, and a solid grasp of architectural design patterns (MVC/MVVM)
- Advanced experience with structured JSON parsing (Codable)
- Solid proficiency in Git workflows
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate to Lahore before starting work (Required)
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with iOS hardware/sensor frameworks (CoreNFC, CoreMotion, AVFoundation)
- Understanding of raw socket communication, client-server handshakes, and modular architectures (SPM, CocoaPods)
- Hands-on experience profiling apps and debugging memory leaks using Xcode Instruments
Important Details
- Schedule: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday
- Stipend: Paid, leading towards a job
