Role: SVP Credit Operations
Where: Large Trading Firm
Compensation: 250-350k (possibly 400) total compensation (Base + Bonus)
Looking for: 10-20 years of credit operations, direct lending or CLO from a fund
As the Private Credit Operations Lead, you will play a high-impact role overseeing the full lifecycle of private credit investments — from trade execution through ongoing portfolio support — within a dynamic, growing platform.
Transaction Execution & Settlement
- Partner closely with Investment, Finance, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, and external counterparties to drive timely and accurate deal closings.
- Act as the primary liaison with fund administrators and agents to manage settlement pipelines, resolve breaks, and minimize funding delays.
- Oversee trade capture, settlements, internal transfers, and fund-level KYC across multiple credit strategies.
- Utilize loan platforms (ClearPar, Loan IQ, WSO, IHS Markit) to process, monitor, and reconcile transactions.
Portfolio Oversight & Controls
- Supervise daily cash and position reconciliations, ensuring integrity of books and records.
- Oversee investment onboarding and administrator workflows to maintain clean, accurate data.
- Coordinate loan documentation, custodian records, corporate actions, and borrower communications.
- Support quarterly closes and annual audits with thorough documentation and data validation.
Governance, Reporting & Process Improvement
- Ensure proper execution and retention of transaction documentation in line with LSTA/LMA standards and internal policies.
- Maintain and enhance the firm’s Operations Manual as processes evolve.
- Produce recurring and ad hoc reporting for management and key stakeholders.
- Identify and implement workflow enhancements, automation initiatives, and control improvements to strengthen scalability and reduce operational risk.
