Surgical Technologist

About This Role

This role is for a Certified Surgical Technologist to join a surgical team, primarily scrubbing for surgical procedures and maintaining a sterile field. The position requires competence in surgical procedures and patient management, supporting the center's philosophy and quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for surgical procedures
• Demonstrate competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team
• Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures
• Prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment related to surgical procedures
• Support the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center
• Support and participate in quality improvement activities

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians

Nice to have:

• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center

• Schedule: weekdays only, no holidays, weekends, nights or calls
