About the role
Inova Alexandria Hospital Operating Room is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist 3 to join the team. This role will be full-time days/nights 40 per week (x2) 8hr 11am-7pm & (x2) 12 hr 7am-7pm. Sign-on Bonus & relocation assistance eligible.

Surgical Technologist 3 Job Responsibilities:
- Recognizes safety hazards and initiates appropriate preventative and corrective actions.
- Anticipates the need for unscheduled procedures or unanticipated turn of events during a surgical procedure.
- Demonstrates superior knowledge in stressful and emergency situations.
- Assists with the flow of the daily operating room schedule by readily accepting assignments/reassignments.
- Demonstrates awareness of and commitment to professional and leadership responsibilities.
- Accepts responsibility for judgments and actions.
- Supports and participates in departmental goals, educational programs, and QI process.
- Documents evidence of at least 40 hours of self-development activities with a minimum of 12 formal contact hours.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School or GED
- Experience: Two (2) years’ Surgical Technologist experience.
- Licensure: Registered Surgical Technologist in the state of VA.
- Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) via NCCT. Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: Surgical Technologist experience with (Ortho, Trauma, Neuro, Robotics, Vascular, Thoracic).
