Job Description Job Summary The Surgical Tech I assists the surgical team in providing direct patient care during surgical procedures. This entry-level position involves preparing the operating room, handling instruments and supplies, and maintaining a sterile environment to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Anticipate, select, use and maintain equipment and supplies for surgical procedure
- Prepare and maintain sterile field throughout surgical procedure
- Follow established policies and procedures for sharps, sponge and instrument counts
- Assist in transportation, housekeeping and Sterile Processing as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- Certified Surgical Technologist
- CPR
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience with scrub and circulation skills
- Prior experience with sterile technique, infection control, sterilization and disinfection procedures
The pay range for this position is $26.58 - $39.86. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
