Supplier Quality Engineer

Position: Supplier Quality Engineer (Global SQE)

Job Descriptions:

• Conduct or lead supplier audits to verify compliance with quality standards, manufacturing processes, and company requirements.
• Perform on-site supplier visits and drive prompt resolution of quality issues and non-conformances.
• Lead structured problem-solving initiatives, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions using the 8D methodology.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers to enhance product quality and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives and participate in the qualification and validation of new components.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams.
• Evaluate suppliers' manufacturing, engineering, and operational capabilities to ensure alignment with business objectives and quality expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen supplier quality performance and technical capabilities.
• Partner with the Commodity Management team to identify, assess, and qualify new PCB suppliers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals, quality standards, and quality management systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Good in both written and spoken English.
• Familiarity with automotive quality tools and methodologies, including APQP, FMEA, and PPAP.
• Experience conducting supplier audits and/or holding audit-related certifications is highly desirable, particularly within the automotive industry.
