This is a supervisory position; candidates must have demonstrated or shown the potential to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to accomplish the strategic goals and plans of the enterprise. A supervisor should have traits of leadership, positive thinking, genuine interest in people, initiative, decisiveness, tact and courtesy, fairness, integrity, teaching ability, and self-confidence. Duties: As a Supervisory Supply Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Serves as senior technical specialist on matters pertaining to the warehouse management system and provides advice, counsel to depot managers on matters pertaining to distribution computer applications systems.
  • Planning, organizing, supervising and controlling assigned programs to ensure maximum efficiency, productivity and continuous process improvement.
  • Participates in all planning for and accomplishment of the depot's major projects concerning computer configurations and requirements.
  • Analyzing statistical data and provides recommendations and required action to improve operations.
  • Performing studies, preparing reports, and providing technical guidance on automated systems.
  • Participating in functional and environmental testing of changes to the automated system.
  • Researching functional problem areas and making recommendations for resolution.
  • Recommending modifications to ensure that data being processed meet mission requirements.
  • Preparing reports, official correspondence, standard operating procedures, memorandums, and information papers for assigned projects
    Qualifications
    To qualify for a Supervisory Supply Systems Analyst, your qualifications must include:
    A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
  • Providing technical advice on all matters pertaining to the distribution computer applications system, operations, and procedures.
  • Developing programs and projects that affect the ability of the division to support the depot's mission which is to provide supply support to agencies, activities, customers, and personnel worldwide.
  • Conducting continuing review and analysis of assigned operational area and evaluating the effectiveness of work operations.
    B. Education: Applicants may not qualify for this position based on education in lieu of specialized experience.

  • Ability to Analyze and Resolve Problems
  • Knowledge of Supervisory/Managerial Competencies including Professionalism, Leadership, Teamwork, Oral and Written Communication, Strategic Focus, Responsibility and Accountability and Innovation and Initiative, Customer Service and Resource Stewardship
