About the role

Duties

You will:

  • Direct the development and maintenance of data and analytical reports to support the business processes of the Office of the Controller (OC) and the Agency.

  • Serve as principle advisor to the Director, BPOD, and other Agency officials on data and cost analysis.

  • Provide cost analysis and methods for improvement to the Working Capital Fund.

  • Evaluate operational and strategic business processes within the OC and the Agency to provide guidance and expertise on improving these processes.

  • Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities over staff members (i.e. setting priorities, evaluating employee’s performance, and developing training programs).

Qualifications

You do not need a degree to qualify for this position.

We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:

To qualify for the GS-15 level, you need to have at least one year of full time experience equivalent to the GS-14 level defined as providing guidance to management on the data and cost analysis of OCFO programs and developing and maintaining data and analytical reports to support the business processes.

Your answers to the on-line assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1) Skill in developing analytical reports to support program business processes; 2) Knowledge of agency policies/programs sufficient to disseminate analytical products; 3) Skill in oral communication; 4) Skill in written communication sufficient to prepare materials for senior Management; 5) Knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods sufficient to improve agency Working Capital Fund; 6) Knowledge of cost analysis principles and methods related to federal government programs; 7) Skill in evaluating operational and strategic business processes; 8) Skill in managing program resources (i.e. human and/or physical).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
