Duties
The successful selectee will perform the following duties:
- Implement a law enforcement program to protect personnel and property from loss, theft, sabotage, or terrorism.
- Direct the day-to-day technical and administrative work of a group of police officers and support staff (e.g., military, civilian).
- Coordinate with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies on incidents that require involvement.
- Use anti-terrorism measures to defend against potential security breaches.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing law enforcement operations to include patrol, community policing, public relations, traffic safety, training and police equipment; 2) Performing force protection, anti-terrorism, and security duties to deter, detect, and deny unauthorized access at fixed installation, internal compound and incident perimeter posts; and 3) Employing National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS) protocols in the event of significant incidents affecting public safety and installation mission.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
