Duties
The incumbent of the position will:
- Provide oversight to a multi-disciplined staff involved in a variety of activities and issues associated with the evaluating of significant phamaceutical products adverse reactions and event tracking data.
- Perform administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised.
- Serve as an expert consultant in the planning, monitoring, and administration of pharmacological inspections, investigations, programs, or projects that encompassed the most critical work in the field.
- Serve as the agency expert in pharmacological specialization, consulting, with individuals, federal agencies, private industry, universities, and/or foreign governments on scientific legislation, enforcement programs, or compliance activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for Supervisory Pharmacist, GS-0660-15, you must meet the following:
Basic Requirement for Pharmacist Series, 0660:
Education: Four-year bachelor's degree in pharmacy recognized by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
Licensure: Except for research positions that do not entail patient care, all applicants must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia
Medical Requirements for Pharmacist Series, 0660:
Applicants must be able to distinguish basic colors.
Minimum Requirements for Pharmacist Series, 0660:
Have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 level or pay band in the Federal service evaluating pharmaceutical products, applying knowledge of drug and consumer safety issues, and providing regulatory guidance on consumer safety issues to various audiences.
Documenting experience: In accordance with Office of Personnel Management policy, federal employees are assumed to have gained experience by performing duties and responsibilities appropriate for their official series and grade level as described in their position description. Experience that would not normally be part of the employee's position is creditable, however, when documented by satisfactory evidence, such as a signed memorandum from the employee's supervisor or an SF-50 or SF-52 documenting an official detail or other official assignment. The documentation must indicate whether the duties were performed full time or, if part time, the percentage of times the other duties were performed. It is expected that this documentation is included in the employee's official personnel record. In order to receive credit for experience in your resume that is not within the official series and grade level of your official position, you must provide a copy of the appropriate documentation of such experience as indicated above.
Education
