About the role
Duties
As Supervisory Mission Support Specialist, you will lead the development and implementation of major administrative services. You will be responsible for quality assurance (management controls), budget, logistics, procurement, human resources, training, automated systems, and financial programs. Specifically, you will:
- Serve as the financial officer and be accountable for the execution of financial processes; Initiate and conduct studies to improve the effectiveness of procurement, contract administration, and service level agreements;
- Lead in development and implementation of effective and responsive human resources management, training, labor and employee relations, and public affairs programs;
- Provide administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit; and
- Monitor cost, schedule and performance parameters on assigned contracts and agreements and review requests and approve/recommend payment based on delegated authority.
Qualifications
GS-14: You qualify for the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level performing duties such as:
- Providing expert advice, assistance and authoritative guidance to supervisors, managers and employees on complex and sensitive issues pertaining to multiple administrative programs (e.g. budget, logistics, procurement, human resources, labor and employee relations, and public affairs programs);
- Ensuring consistency in the application of administrative programs and determining areas of procedural and regulatory deficiencies and developing strategic goals for change having agency-wide impact;
- Analyzing and resolving particularly complex and sensitive problems and issues such as those involving conflicting laws and other requirements; and
- Developing valid techniques for measuring the success of several administrative programs. Get specific information from OIS.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
