Duties
As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment & Placement) you will perform the following duties:
- Provide Human Resources Management advisory services to higher level managers and supervisors on areas of recruitment and placement;
- Advise on job analysis and developing assessment criteria for a wide range of positions, determining applicant eligibility, rating and ranking candidates, and referring candidates for selection;
- Refers group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher-level supervisor or manager; and
- Effects minor disciplinary measures, such as warnings and reprimands, recommends other action in more serious cases.
Qualifications
You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level performing duties such as:
- Conducting job analyses on a wide variety of complex positions using research, interviews, observation, and analytical techniques;
- Determining the appropriate rating, ranking, and selective placement factors for vacant positions;
- Developing/using crediting plans to assess the applicant's varying degrees of job qualifications; and
- Providing management with a wide range of options for filling vacant positions including special appointing authorities.
