About the role

Duties

Performs as the First Sergeants Barracks Initiative (FSBI) Manager, Management Branch Chief (Supervisor) and as Senior Housing Manager for a typically large post comprised of 1 AD Headquarters, Air Defense Units and Schools, William Beaumont Army Medical Center, hospital, and numerous additional tenant/satellite activities. On post Unaccompanied Personnel Housing (UPH) totals approximately 16,000 spaces. Utilizes expert knowledge and skill in the application of housing management principles, concepts, and methodology to develop and implement expanded BM Program in accordance with appropriate legislation, regulations, and guidance from Higher Headquarters etc.

Specialized Experience Required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Resolving customer disputes; reviewing projects for repair, maintenance and/or modification of unaccompanied housing units or barracks; furnishings management; and providing advisory services to personnel on matters related to unaccompanied housing program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
Knowledge of Unaccompanied Housing Policies and Regulations
Knowledge of Budget Laws, Rules, and Regulations
Skill in Written Communication
Skill in Oral Communication
Ability to Supervise

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the GS-12 grade (or equivalent).

Time-in-grade Requirement document: To support the Time in Grade (TIG) requirement you MUST submit a copy of your latest SF-50/NPA that reflects your highest grade held on a permanent basis along with your application/resume package. Failure to do so may affect your rating or consideration for employment.
