Supervisory Financial Management Analyst

Duties

• Formulate a budget for an organization to project short and long term budgetary requirements.
• Analyze cost-benefits of proposed budgetary and program actions to advise program managers of advantageous courses of action.
• Review requests for funds submitted by managers to ensure the accuracy of technical treatment and format, mathematical calculations, adequacy of narrative justification and conformance with budgetary policy and guidelines.
• Plan work, set priorities and schedules work to ensure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse effect on regular and recurring work.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Formulating, justifying, and executing a budgetary program; developing financial procedural policies; and analyzing and advising on major financial operating programs.

This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. This certification level must be achieved within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are outlined in the DoD Instruction 1300.26.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
