Superintendent

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and professional email etiquette
• Experience collaborating on quality assurance and safety initiatives
• Proficient knowledge of plans, specifications, and construction documentation processes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience conducting and leading meetings with stakeholders
• Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with owners, AHJs, subcontractors, and team members
• Minimum 5-7 years of construction experience
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to build trust and maintain confidence among team members and stakeholders
• Exceptional attention to detail in all project-related tasks
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and ensuring an injury-free job site
• Complete understanding of Superintendent I responsibilities
• Ability to plan and think strategically to improve scheduling and sequencing efficiency
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome project challenges
• Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule adherence
• Ability to stand, walk, walk on rough or uneven surfaces, use hands and fingers to feel or handle office equipment and files, reach with hands and arms, drive, bend, climb stairs or ladders, balance, kneel, crouch, turn or twist, talk, see, and hear
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Ability to occasionally sit, handle hand and/or power tools, and infrequently crawl
• Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, long correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write complex correspondence
• Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one, small, and large group situations to Associates or clients of the organization
• Advanced skill level in the Microsoft Office suite, industry-prevalent construction software, and SharePoint
• Ability to interact with associates over the internet via Zoom or Teams
• Ability to type professional correspondence
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Valid driver's license

Important Details

• Work environment: construction site in various stages of completion, with fluctuating noise and light levels, occasional unpleasant or potentially harmful fumes (proper PPE provided), and variable temperature based on location and season
• Frequent travel is required
