About the role
Hydro has been at the forefront of the energy transition since 1905, transforming industries and societies with renewable energy. Today, we are pioneering the green aluminium transition through renewables and new energy solutions. Based on hydropower, solar and wind power, we enable aluminium production with a carbon footprint of about 75 percent less than the global average. An internship in Hydro is a great way for you to try out and learn more about your field of study. You will obtain valuable experience, and you get to tackle relevant tasks and real challenges, with support from experienced colleagues. You will also get to participate in a joint program with all the Hydro summer interns, allowing you to learn more about our business and acquire interdisciplinary knowledge. All the while, we expect and want you to have a fun experience during the summer.
This internship includes the opportunity to visit one of our Norwegian sites and experience our operations firsthand.
What you will be doing
You will join a small, collaborative, and purpose-driven team responsible for shaping and telling our story both internally and externally. You will contribute to developing strategic analyses, public affairs and communication plans, as well as day-to-day communication materials, including presentations and digital content.
What will make you successful?
- Master study in Political Science, Economics and Business, Communication and Marketing, Journalism/copy writer or a related field.
- Experience or interest in the field of communication and public affairs.
- Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and oral.
