JDH Contracting is seeking an experienced Substation Crew Foreman to lead vertical drilling operations supporting critical utility infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing crews, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality production in a fast-paced field environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise drilling crews on substation and utility construction projects
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety standards and conduct daily toolbox talks
- Coordinate daily activities with project managers and onsite stakeholders
- Operate and oversee vertical drilling equipment and ensure proper maintenance
- Monitor job progress, maintain documentation, and ensure work meets specifications
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in vertical drilling, foundations, or utility construction
- Proven experience as a Foreman, Lead, or Crew Supervisor
- Strong knowledge of safety practices and OSHA standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Experience working with heavy equipment and drilling rigs
Preferred:
- Substation or transmission/distribution project experience
- CDL license
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
