Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing Peace by Piece events, workshops, and activities
- Participate in workshops and help participants create knitted projects
- Create punchcard designs for knitting workshops
- Help create and distribute educational materials, social media content, and newsletters
- Support data collection, reporting, and documentation of project outcomes
- Maintain communication with student groups, campus departments, and community partners
- Attend regular planning meetings and provide input on programming and outreach
- Perform general administrative duties (e.g., scheduling, emailing, maintaining records)
- Represent the Peace by Piece Project at campus and community events
- Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment aligned with the project’s values
Work Conditions:
Can lift up to 50 lbs
Can work a flatbed knitting machine and industrial sewing machine
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
Required Education
Must be enrolled as a student at Belmont University.
Required Experience
Experience with social media, graphic design, or event planning is a plus. Experience in knitting, sewing, handcrafts, and in particular, machine knitting.
