About the role

Duties

  • Provides assistance with various Human Resources Employee Development programs.

  • Uses a learning management system for the coordination of various training events and activities.

  • Designs, delivers, analyzes, and facilitates various training events.

  • Analyzes productivity and effectiveness of new and existing programs, processes, and trainings.

Qualifications

All applicants must possess one year of specialized experience. To meet specialized experience, your resume must describe experience that demonstrates the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities as defined below:

GS-5 - Three years of general experience, 1 year of which was equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-4 level in the Federal Government. Examples of general experience include, experience supporting administrative functions in an office setting, experience manipulating data in a spreadsheet, experience using presentation software, experience assisting in the preparation of materials; and experience using automated systems.

GS-4 - One year General Experience (see above)

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may also qualify on the basis of education as follows:

GS-5 - 4 year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
GS-4 - 2 years above high school.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

You must be a currently enrolled student, seeking a degree or certificate.

This vacancy announcement allows substituting education for experience. Transcripts must include the name of the college or university and date the degree was conferred.

Foreign Education: To receive credit for education completed outside the United States, applicants must show proof that the education has been submitted to a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign educational credentials and such education has been deemed at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education programs.
