The University of Iowa Health Care Department of Neurology is seeking a Student Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Technologist to support the Electromyography (EMG) lab.

Responsibilities

Escorting patients to and from examination rooms.

Taking patient histories.

Performing nerve conduction studies using electroneurodiagnostic equipment.

Presenting study results to physicians for review.

Resetting examination rooms between patients.

Complete additional tasks as assigned

Rate of pay: $15/hour

Schedule: Weekdays between the hours of 7:30am-5:30pm, schedule is flexible and determined with supervisor upon hire. Maximum 20 hours per week during the academic semesters, 40 hours per week during breaks.

Qualifications

Current participation in a 24-month END Technology program or other applicable program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Experience with nerve conduction is desired.
