Hiring: Structural Engineer III
Location: Englewood, CO 80112
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential Extension or Direct Hire Based on Performance)
Schedule: Monday to Friday | Standard Business Hours
Are you an experienced Structural Engineer looking to work on cutting-edge engineering projects? We're seeking a highly skilled professional to support the design, analysis, and certification of advanced structural systems across a variety of innovative products and platforms.
What You'll Do
✅ Design, evaluate, and certify complex structural systems and components
✅ Perform structural analysis on steel, aluminum, welded, and bolted structures
✅ Conduct static and dynamic analysis using hand calculations and FEA tools
✅ Lead structural analysis efforts throughout the product lifecycle
✅ Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
✅ Review designs and integrate structural solutions into overall system architectures
✅ Support and oversee structural testing and validation activities
✅ Develop technical substantiation reports and engineering documentation
🔧 Required Qualifications
✔ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
✔ 6+ years of relevant engineering experience
✔ Strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles
✔ Experience with:
- Static & Dynamic Analysis
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- FEMAP, MSC Patran, and Nastran
- Steel & Aluminum Structure Analysis
- Weld and Bolted Joint Analysis
- Shock & Vibration Analysis
- Authoring Substantiation Reports
- Multi-disciplinary Design & Development Environments
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
✅ Experience within Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, Maritime, or Heavy Equipment industries
✅ Knowledge of AWS, AISC, ASTM, ABS, and DoD design standards
✅ Vehicle Dynamics, Suspension, and Structural Loads Analysis
✅ Experience with harsh thermal and dynamic environments
✅ FEMAP-based Engineering Simulation
✅ Mechanical Design Principles, Manufacturing, and Production Processes
✅ Exposure to Rocket Plume Load Analysis
