Qualifications
- Approximately 5 years of structural drafting experience
- Strong proficiency in Revit, with proven accuracy and consistency in producing structural documentation
- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, consistent, and complete structural drawings
- Proven ability to deliver drawings according to project schedules
- Experience coordinating structural documentation with architectural and consultant drawings
- Working knowledge of Australian documentation standards and document-control requirements
- Clear and proactive communication of task progress
- Strong ownership of assigned tasks and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Self-sufficient and detail-oriented approach to drafting
- Practical, solutions-focused mindset aligned with economical and buildable structural design
- Ability to collaborate closely with the founder in a small, hands-on team environment
- Strong proactive thinking and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and coordinated structural documentation for Australian residential projects.
- Prepare structural drawings based on engineering sketches, mark-ups, and instructions.
- Document foundations, slabs, retaining walls, timber and steel framing, beams, columns, and connections.
- Coordinate structural documentation with architectural and consultant drawings.
- Collaborate remotely with engineers and the broader Brisbane-based structural engineering team.
- Update drawings based on engineering reviews and design changes.
- Review all documentation for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Manage assigned tasks and communicate progress clearly and proactively.
- Follow company procedures, Australian documentation standards, and document-control requirements.
- Refer all engineering design decisions to the responsible engineer.
- Ensure all drawings are reviewed and approved by the responsible engineer before issuance.
