About the role
Role: The Stroke Outreach Coordinator is a registered nurse responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships across hospitals and EMS providers to optimize cerebrovascular care.
Responsibilities: Implementing stroke management pathways, providing staff and public education, coordinating outreach programs, supporting telestroke services, and enhancing transfer protocols. They serve as a resource during stroke alerts, facilitate data collection for quality improvement, and participate in professional events and community initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills: Must have a nursing diploma or degree, valid RN license, BLS certification, and at least 3 years of clinical experience in emergency, critical care, or neurovascular care. Strong knowledge of stroke protocols, neurovascular terminology, interpersonal skills, organization, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential.
