Strength and Conditioning Coach

About This Role

This part-time role involves helping Regis student-athletes in school-sponsored sports programs improve their strength, performance, and reduce injury risk, while also fostering lifelong fitness habits. The coach will create independent programs and lead weekly sessions for student-athletes.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strength and conditioning program for each sport that student-athletes can follow on their own (at home, at a gym, or in the Regis fitness center)
• Host a regular, weekly 45-minute meeting, providing individual coaching and feedback to students who drop in, and/or presenting information to a group of student-athletes about safe training techniques, nutrition, hydration, etc.
• Communicate regularly with Director of Athletics about strength and conditioning programs, student meetings and student progress

Requirements

• A nationally recognized strength and conditioning certification (for example NSCA-CSCS, NASM or a comparable credential)
• Experience designing strength and conditioning programs for athletes, ideally high school or college athletes
• Strong communication skills
• Appreciation for Catholic, Jesuit education and a commitment to Regis's mission

Nice to have:

• Experience working with high school athletes across several sports
• A degree in exercise science, kinesiology or a related field

Important Details

• Schedule: approximately 2 hours per week
• Work format: in-person, remote option considered
• Reports to: Director of Athletics
