Strategic Sourcing Specialist

About This Role

Identifying and attracting qualified professionals to support the organization's current and future hiring needs is the core of this role. This individual will focus on proactive candidate sourcing, talent market research, and developing strong pipelines of potential candidates for professional and leadership-level positions. Working closely with recruiters and hiring managers, the Talent Sourcing Specialist will use innovative recruiting strategies and digital platforms to connect with top talent and strengthen the company's overall recruitment efforts.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, research, and engage qualified candidates for current and anticipated job openings
• Build and maintain talent pipelines to support ongoing workforce planning and future hiring demands
• Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand position requirements, department needs, and ideal candidate profiles
• Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume, applicant tracking systems, and other online sourcing tools to locate potential candidates
• Research talent markets, competitor hiring activity, and geographic areas to identify the best sources of qualified professionals
• Develop creative sourcing strategies to reach both active job seekers and passive candidates who may be open to new opportunities
• Present qualified candidates to the recruiting team for further evaluation and consideration
• Maintain consistent and professional communication that reflects the organization's employment brand
• Build relationships with colleges, universities, community colleges, and community organizations to expand candidate networks
• Participate in career fairs, recruiting events, and other talent attraction initiatives as needed
• Track sourcing activity and recruiting metrics to evaluate results and identify opportunities for improvement
• Stay current on recruitment trends, sourcing technologies, and industry best practices
• Travel occasionally to support recruiting events and talent acquisition initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered
• Approximately five years of corporate recruiting experience, particularly sourcing candidates for professional and management-level positions
• At least three years of experience using applicant tracking systems and online recruiting platforms
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume, or similar candidate sourcing tools
• Strong research, communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to understand hiring needs and translate them into effective candidate search strategies
• Strong business judgment and the ability to work effectively with individuals across different departments and backgrounds
