Job Description
Job Summary The mCommunication Lead is a senior, individual-contributor role focused on building enduring communication standards for Client Market Intelligence & Strategy team. This engagement develops style guides, templates, and visual storytelling practices that govern external-facing materials such as Board presentations, Client reports, and public deliverables. The role is designed as a build-and-transfer engagement, establishing durable practices that staff can sustain after the assiagnment concludes. Key Responsibilities Standards & Template Development Develop written style guide for Market Intelligence & Strategy communications Create presentation and report templates aligned with branding guidelines Establish data presentation standards informed by industry best practices (e.g., Tufte principles) Capability Building & Knowledge Transfer Develop training materials on visual storytelling techniques Deliver in-person training to team members (group and individual sessions) Serve as subject matter expert providing ongoing guidance Deliverable Review & Quality Control Review team deliverables against established communication standards Provide feedback to reinforce adoption of standards Produce external-facing deliverables (Board materials, reports, public presentations) as requested Example Deliverables Written style guide for Market Intelligence & Strategy communications Presentation and report templates aligned with branding Training materials on visual storytelling (charts, tables, graphics) In-person training sessions for team members Documented review and feedback on team deliverables Required Skills Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills (charts, tables, graphics) Demonstrated ability to develop style guides, templates, and communication standards Strong training and coaching skills with effective feedback delivery Ability to adapt communication standards to technical, data-driven environments Experience working within existing brand and template systems Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in strategic communications, technical writing, or visual/graphic design 10+ years preferred Experience in the power sector or other technical/regulated industry required Education Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, Graphic Design, or related discip line Education: Bachelors Degree
