Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Operate cash registers and handle retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Support inventory management by counting stock, handling stock transfers, and participating in stock audits
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required; supervisory experience is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic retail math for transactions and cash handling
- Strong communication skills with an ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are advantageous
- Knowledge of retail store product lines, merchandising principles, and sales techniques including upselling
- Ability to handle cash drawer responsibly and perform accurate retail math calculations
- Excellent phone etiquette and professional communication skills both in person and over the phone
- Willingness to learn about store products through demos and ongoing training sessions
