About the role

Job Description

  • We are looking for an experienced and organized Stores Executive to manage material receipt, storage, issue, inventory control, documentation, and coordination within the stores department. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper material handling and preservation, and following ISO, OHSAS, 5S, and workplace safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities Material Receipt & System Entries:

  • Physically receive incoming materials and verify them against relevant documents.
  • Make accurate material receipt entries in the system.
  • Ensure proper documentation of received materials.
  • Coordinate with concerned teams regarding material discrepancies or shortages.

Material Storage & Preservation

  • Ensure proper storage and preservation of all materials.
  • Arrange materials systematically for easy identification and retrieval.
  • Ensure materials are stored according to applicable storage requirements.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and organization within stores areas.

Material Issue & Inventory Control

  • Issue materials against authorized requirements.
  • Complete both physical and system-level material issue entries accurately.
  • Monitor stock levels and maintain proper inventory records.
  • Prepare lists of non-moving and slow-moving items for management review.

Inventory Verification & Reporting

  • Conduct monthly, half-yearly, and annual physical inventory checks.
  • Reconcile physical stock with system records.
  • Prepare inventory reports and highlight discrepancies where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate stores documentation and records.

Compliance, Safety & 5S

  • Ensure compliance with ISO and OHSAS procedures related to storage and preservation of materials.
  • Maintain 5S standards and a Visual Workplace within stores areas.
  • Ensure safe handling, movement, and storage of materials.
  • Follow applicable workplace safety procedures and practices.

Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with other functional teams to ensure smooth stores operations.
  • Communicate material availability, shortages, and inventory-related issues to concerned departments.
  • Maintain good communication with internal teams for timely completion of stores activities.

Experience Job Requirements:

  • Experience in the Automobile Industry is preferred.

Education

  • Any Degree or Diploma.

Technical Skills

  • Good knowledge of stores and inventory management.
  • Material receipt and issue procedures.
  • Inventory reconciliation and stock verification.
  • System-based inventory entries and record maintenance.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Good documentation and reporting abilities.

Communication Skills

  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
