Bridgestone GCC is hiring for Storage, Backup & Resilience Engineer!!

Key Responsibilities :

  • Administer, maintain, and continuously improve enterprise storage, backup, and recovery platforms, including Commvault, Veeam, NetApp, and Pure Storage environments.
  • Ensure the reliable delivery of Storage, Backup, and Replication services in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and operational targets.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, security, and platform resilience.
  • Collaborate with Senior Infrastructure Engineers, Solution Delivery teams, and Architecture stakeholders to develop and implement infrastructure management strategies, standards, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate inventories and lifecycle records for physical and virtual storage, backup, and replication infrastructure components.
  • Respond to incidents, service requests, and operational issues within defined service targets, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical escalation support and guidance to Level 1 support teams and operational resources.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce operational documentation, procedures, runbooks, and technical standards.
  • Execute technology roadmaps and strategic initiatives developed in partnership with Senior Storage and Resilience Engineers, Solution Architects, and Enterprise Architecture teams.
  • Deliver assigned projects, enhancements, and service requests within agreed timelines, scope, and quality expectations.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing management of storage, backup, replication, and data protection solutions aligned with enterprise technology strategies.
  • Lead or participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Problem Management activities for Priority 1 (P1) and Priority 2 (P2) incidents, driving corrective and preventive actions.
  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions and operational workflows to improve service quality, consistency, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Support the design, implementation, testing, and ongoing operation of Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity, and Resilience capabilities.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, business stakeholders, management, and IT teams, providing clear status updates, risk assessments, and service-related information.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Professional Skills/Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience managing and supporting enterprise storage and backup solutions, including at least 1 year of experience in a distributed enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated expertise with enterprise data protection and storage platforms, including Commvault, Veeam, NetApp, and Pure Storage technologies
  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-based storage and backup solutions within AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments
  • Working knowledge of hyperconverged and virtualized infrastructure platforms, including VMware vSAN, VxRail, and Nutanix
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and best practices, preferably within ITIL-based organizations
  • Self-driven and proactive mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and learning emerging technologies
  • Proven track record of progressively increasing responsibilities and expanding technical expertise
  • Experience leading small to medium-sized projects involving cross-functional teams and multiple technology domains
  • Ability to work effectively within a multicultural, global, and matrixed organizational structure
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated alignment with organizational values through accountability, adaptability, ownership, and a results-oriented approach
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English

Preferred Professional Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working within large, complex enterprise organizations
  • Experience operating in Agile delivery environments, collaborating effectively as part of geographically distributed and cross-functional teams
  • Advanced cloud certifications in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or other leading cloud platforms
  • Proven experience planning and executing storage infrastructure migrations from on-premises environments to cloud-based platform
