About This Role
Being a stocker in a dynamic warehouse team is a vital role, efficiently stocking, organizing, and maintaining inventory. This position suits an energetic and detail-oriented person who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys hands-on work.
Responsibilities
- Use RF scanners and other material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to accurately receive, store, and organize inventory items
- Load and unload shipments safely following proper lifting practices, ensuring all products are handled with care
- Maintain accurate inventory control by conducting regular stock counts and updating inventory management systems
- Stock shelves, produce sections, or storage areas with retail store product knowledge to ensure a clean, organized presentation for customers
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by preparing orders for dispatch and verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing products neatly and ensuring displays are well-maintained
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of warehouse areas to uphold safety standards and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience or retail store experience is highly preferred
- Proficiency with RF scanners, forklift operation, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory management tasks
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely while following proper manual handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are advantageous for diverse teams
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, stock calculations, and retail math applications
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, merchandising standards, and retail product knowledge is beneficial
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety protocols and organizational standards
