  Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity We're looking for an experienced Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) to join our Whanganui team and help deliver safe, efficient and compliant traffic management solutions across a variety of maintenance and construction projects.

  This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll take ownership of traffic management operations on site, ensuring the safety of our crews, contractors, road users and the wider community.

  You'll be responsible for:

• Leading the planning, coordination and delivery of temporary traffic management activities

• Validating TMPs and ensuring work sites remain compliant at all times

• Conducting site inductions, toolbox meetings and crew briefings

• Completing site inspections, audits and required documentation

• Managing plant, vehicle and equipment checks

• Coaching and developing Traffic Controllers and STMS trainees

• Building positive relationships with clients, stakeholders and the public

• Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring all HSE requirements are met

  To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• Current STMS Qualification (Category A/B or Level 1/2)

• Full Class 2 Licence

• Proven experience delivering temporary traffic management on live road corridors

• Strong knowledge of current TTM requirements and best practices

• Experience leading crews and managing work sites independently

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Commitment to Zero Harm and safe work practices

• Flexibility to work shifts when required

  Highly desirable:

• Current First Aid Certificate

• TTM Unit Standards 31958-31963

• Experience managing unattended sites and complex TTM setups
