About This Role

This part-time Steward position at Fishers Event Center is responsible for all stewarding functions across the venue, including cleaning equipment, facilitating food delivery, and setting up and breaking down banquet buffets. The role ensures the cleanliness and organization of all food preparation and service areas, and involves frequent interaction with staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver all food to prospective functions
• Deliver, set up, and break down all equipment to prospective functions
• Pick up and deliver hot boxes and products from all concession areas for all events
• Maintain equipment in all pantries, concession areas, and storage locations
• Ensure cleanliness in both kitchens
• Run and maintain the main dish machine
• Interact frequently with staff
• Perform quick counting and simple arithmetic
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in a Food & Beverage environment
• Strong ability to work with other staff members in the facility
• Results-oriented individual with the ability to meet required timelines
• Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks
• Adhere to local Food Codes
• Ability to stoop and lift
• Substantial standing, walking, and pushing or pulling of equipment
• Ability to lift 25 lbs to the waist
