About This Role

This steward position is responsible for supporting banquet functions and maintaining kitchen sanitation within a hospitality setting. The role involves food running, dishwashing, equipment care, and trash removal, ensuring all duties align with departmental policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform food running and support banquet functions
• Execute dishwashing, pots and pans cleaning, and trash removal
• Conduct plate-up, sanitation, polishing, and care of equipment
• Provide proper support to other departments for departmental success
• Offer service or assistance to meet the needs of guests, clients, or customers
• Work in a non-hazardous manner, avoiding self-injury and unsafe methods
• Provide expertise based on information gathered, studied, processed, or reviewed
• Expedite sanitation and food handling tasks
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• 21 years of age
• Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Health Card and any other required certification or license
• 1 year of experience with kitchen cleaning in a restaurant or banquet facility
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other team members of different backgrounds and levels of experience
• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift or carry 30 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks
• Ability to physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts
• Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts
• Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment
• Ability to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke
