Sterile Processing Technician

About This Role

This Sterile Processing Technician role supports operating room operations in a high-volume healthcare facility. The technician will be responsible for cleaning, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments and equipment while maintaining strict infection control and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, inspect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
• Assemble and prepare surgical instrument trays according to established procedures
• Operate sterilization equipment and monitor sterilization cycles
• Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation
• Inspect instruments for damage, cleanliness, and proper functionality
• Distribute sterile supplies and instruments to the operating room as needed
• Follow infection control protocols and departmental safety standards

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience, preferably in a high-volume facility
• CRCST or CSPDT certification

• Previous operating room (OR) sterile processing experience

Important Details

• Shift: Days/Evenings, Monday to Friday, 5x8
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, rotating weekends
• Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
