Sterile Processing Technician

About This Role

This travel/contract position is for an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) at a busy Level I Trauma facility. The role requires strong knowledge across sterile processing functions and experience working in a comparable hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination of drills, Da Vinci equipment, scopes, and other instruments
• Instrument assembly across multiple service lines
• Trauma, loaner instruments, and peel packaging
• Steam and STERRAD sterilization
• High-Level Disinfection (HLD)
• Flexible endoscope reprocessing
• Sterile storage
• OR liaison responsibilities
• Censitrac tracking system
• Medivator Sets/trays assembly
• Scope and probe reprocessing

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of Sterile Processing experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience
• Medivator experience
• CBSPD or CRCST certification accepted
• Sterile processing: 3 years (Required)
• CBSPD (Required)
• CRCST (Required)

Nice to have:

• Trauma Level I experience
• Community hospital experience

• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Start Date: 10/26 & 11/09
• Shift: Evenings / Nights / Days all shifts are available
• Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, rotating weekends, occasional scheduled holidays
• Openings: 9
• Floating may be required between OSU locations
• Work Location: On the road
