USPI Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital Kingwoodis seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. We have 6 OR rooms and 2 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Spine, Urology. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.
Job Summary: The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications:
- Must be a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2-3 years' experience as Instrument Room Technician.
- Experience with all types of sterilizers.
- Knows operating room instrumentation.
- Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
- Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
- Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
- Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.
