The person in this role will design real-life experiments, conduct statistical analysis, and generate reports using JMP tools, collaborating directly with process scientists and engineers. It suits a detail-oriented and proactive individual with expertise in statistical methodologies, JMP proficiency, and a background in biopharma, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices.
Responsibilities
- Develop statistical study designs (DOE), perform statistical analyses, and generate reported output using in-house JMP tools for high-priority projects
- Participate actively in process characterization teams to identify project requirements, design study experiments, and analyze results
- Engage in direct, ongoing dialogues with Process Scientists and Engineers to address operational constraints, issues, and execution strategies in study design
- Collaborate with engineering and scientific teams to complete comprehensive study reports as needed
- Apply Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies to solve real-world process development challenges
- Utilize JMP and other statistical/data processing software to deliver clear, actionable data insights
- Maintain clear and regular communication across Microsoft Teams and email to keep cross-functional project stakeholders aligned
- Drive execution with a high focus on detail, proactive problem-solving, and continuous learning
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline (with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience); OR
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a related scientific/engineering discipline (with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience)
- Proven experience applying Design of Experiments (DOE) to real-life process development problems
- Solid knowledge of statistical analysis methodologies and experimental design principles
- Strong hands-on experience using JMP, with a working knowledge of other statistical software (e.g., Minitab)
