Startup Acquisition Manager

About This Role

This role is a key part of a strategic initiative, focusing on go-to-market and acquisition to generate high-quality job roles on the Connectd marketplace. You will build an existing pipeline, develop a new partner network, reactivate existing users, and drive new company acquisition, owning the results. This is not a typical recruiter role, but rather one that partners with recruiters to build the infrastructure that makes Connectd the default platform for hiring senior fractional talent.

Responsibilities

• Identify, onboard, and activate agency and in-house recruitment partners to post roles on Connectd
• Build relationships that drive ongoing platform activity, not one-off sign-ups
• Run structured campaigns to bring existing Connectd companies back to the platform for role postings
• Own the cohort strategy, messaging, and conversion metrics for platform re-engagement
• Define an Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) for new company acquisition
• Build a pipeline of high-quality companies and execute outbound strategies to bring them onto the platform
• Be hands-on with new clients to help them find the best talent from within the Connectd network

Requirements

• 3–5 years in roles that blend sales, partnerships, or business development with recruitment (agency, RPO, or HR tech sales experience is relevant)
• A track record of owning a number and hitting it
• Experience running acquisition campaigns or partner activation programmes
• An instinct for running an effective recruitment process
• The judgment to prioritize when everything feels urgent
• Comfort operating before the playbook exists
