About the role
The ideal candidate for Staff Quality & Reliability Engineer demonstrates deep proficiency in the philosophy of quality, strong systems engineering fundamentals across all key domains integral to product quality, and the ability to challenge the status quo constructively. They serve as a proactive advocate for the "voice of the customer," ensuring customer-centric decision-making in core team discussions and fostering continuous improvement in product quality.
Responsibilities include below:
- Oversee and uphold product quality from PRD creation to production handover and sustaining phases.
- Define and review product quality criteria and milestones for development and sustaining phases and ensure conformance to the plans
- Perform quality risk assessments on internal and external JIRAs from 3rd party, proactively identifying vulnerabilities
- Drive alignment among cross-functional teams regarding quality standards and objectives.
- Conduct post-mortem reviews and lessons learned analyses on quality challenges during development and sustaining phases.
- Facilitate cross-site, cross-team collaboration to implement actionable improvements from past experiences.
- Develop and execute mitigation strategies using risk management frameworks like FMEA to protect product integrity and business goals.
- Actively participate in engineering processes, such as PRD, DFx, qualification syncs, test plans, and RDT, to ensure alignment with reliability and quality objectives.
- Forecast and address potential quality risks during engineering reviews.
- Identify and address process inefficiencies across the Product Life Cycle (PLC) execution.
- Collaborate with execution teams to implement robust improvement actions.
- Develop and embed quality-centric values, standards, and methodologies across operations.
- Apply data analytics and evidence-based methodologies to support objective decision-making.
- Resolve contentions effectively using measurable insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electrical/Electronic based Engineering
- 8-10 years of certified professional experience in development / manufacturing / customer quality, design or semiconductor engineering
- Thorough understanding on Product Life Cycle and process-gap identification
- Exposure to factory processes and hands-on is a big advantage
