About the role
Role: The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care grounded in biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities Include
- Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and directing patient-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice.
- Delivering comprehensive care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
- Performing leadership, professional duties, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Mentoring and precepting new staff, supporting staff development.
- Collaborating with provider teams to ensure efficient, high-quality, and compassionate care, especially for pediatric patients.
- Engaging in evidence-based practices, systems-based practice activities, informatics, and technology use.
- Adapting to temporary assignments across different units based on patient needs.
Qualifications & Skills
- BSN required or to be obtained within 5 years of hire.
- Current Ohio RN licensure and Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of one year of healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (preferred).
