Staff Nurse - Outpatient Surgery Clinic

Role Overview The Staff Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care grounded in biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice.
• Deliver care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
• Demonstrate leadership, perform quality improvement, safety duties, and support staff education and mentorship.
• Promote collaboration with providers to ensure efficient operations, high-quality care, and exceptional customer service.
• Utilize evidence-based practice, systems-based approaches, informatics, and technology in daily duties.
• Be adaptable to temporary assignments across various hospital areas based on patient needs.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience; wound care and ostomy experience preferred, ostomy certification is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC) preferred.
• Current Ohio RN license, BSN or in progress within 5 years, and BLS certification required.
