As a Staff Nurse, Cardiovascular Suites (CVL), you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Support a wide range of vascular surgeries and procedures, including those for coronary artery disease, cardiac arrhythmias, cerebral vascular disease, hepatic disease, and peripheral vascular disease.
- Track and assess patient conditions before, during, and after procedures, ensuring stability and safety throughout.
- Ensure patients are ready for various vascular procedures, including explaining the process, confirming consent, and reviewing medical history.
- Provide prescribed medications, including sedatives and pain management, and assist with intravenous (IV) access.
- Monitor recovery and watch for complications, educating patients on care instructions for various vascular conditions.
- Assist with the use of advanced angiography and coned beam computed tomography equipment for diagnosis and treatment.
- Work alongside surgeons, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure successful outcomes.
- Ensure all equipment, including imaging devices and surgical tools, are properly cleaned, maintained, and ready for use.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient status, and any changes in health conditions.
- Provide ongoing education regarding post-surgical care, disease management, and preventive measures for vascular health.
Requirements:
- Possess a Diploma in Nursing with valid SNB registration
