Staff Nurse

Role: The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct family-centered nursing care for individuals or groups within the scope of practice.
• Deliver care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
• Perform leadership, professional duties, and patient-centered care activities.
• Engage in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and staff education, including precepting and mentoring new employees.
• Implement evidence-based practices, support provider collaboration, and promote team-based, high-quality care for pediatric patients.
• Utilize informatics and technology, and perform system-based practice duties.
• Adapt to temporary assignments across different areas based on patient needs.
• Fulfill other duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively across organizational levels.
• Experience with healthcare settings, Microsoft Office, and electronic medical records (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and guide staff, with a focus on teamwork and quality service.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or obtainable within five years.
• Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio required.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.
