REQUIREMENT:
- We are hiring experience 7+ years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, or Operations Support roles.
- Strong understanding of Financial Markets, including:
- Futures & Options
- Equities
- Derivatives Trading
- Order Management Systems (OMS)
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments.
- Experience supporting Java/J2EE-based applications.
- Strong SQL and database troubleshooting skills with:
- Sybase
- Oracle
- PostgreSQL
- MS SQL Server
- Experience supporting applications deployed in both Cloud and On-Premises environments.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals and file transfer technologies:
- SFTP
- MQ
- APIs
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience using ticketing and service management tools such as:
- BMC Remedy
- Jira Service Desk
- Similar ITSM platforms
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of trading platforms, market operations, and order lifecycle management.
- Understanding of ITIL Service Operations framework and best practices.
- Experience working with global teams and distributed support models.
- Strong documentation and process improvement mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and business domains quickly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Writing and reviewing great quality code
- Understanding functional requirements thoroughly and analysing the clients needs in the context of the project
- Envisioning the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements, and being able to define technologies, patterns and frameworks to realize it
- Determining and implementing design methodologies and tool sets
- Enabling application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities.
- Being able to lead/support UAT and production roll outs
- Creating, understanding and validating WBS and estimated effort for given module/task, and being able to justify it
- Addressing issues promptly, responding positively to setbacks and challenges with a mindset of continuous improvement
- Giving constructive feedback to the team members and setting clear expectations.
- Helping the team in troubleshooting and resolving of complex bugs
- Coming up with solutions to any issue that is raised during code/design review and being able to justify the decision taken
- Carrying out POCs to make sure that suggested design/technologies meet the requirements.
