Staff Accountant

About This Role

This Staff Accountant position is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and talented individual to join the Interim HealthCare Regional Management Center (RMC) team. The role is primarily responsible for the multi-state hospice and home healthcare monthly and annual financial statement cycle, performing reconciliations, analysis, and reporting functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, financial statements, and general analysis
• Provide clear and effective explanation to end user financial questions
• Assist with annual budgets, forecasting and special projects
• Prepare bank and general ledger account reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset records and coordinates acquisition documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective variance analysis; ability to identify, research and communicate results
• Strong organizational skills and recognition when priorities require adjustment
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills
• Proven ability to be proactive and seek learning opportunities
• High integrity and strong core ethical foundation
• Excellent judgement and resourcefulness
• Solid understanding of proper accounting procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required with moderate to advanced Excel abilities
• Self-motivated with excellent time management skills

Nice to have:

• CPA or CMA preferred
• Minimum of two years of related experience preferred
