Staff Accountant to join its collaborative Finance team.

What You'll Do
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the general ledger.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support month-end and year-end close.
- Assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and payroll accounting.
- Prepare financial reports and support annual audit activities.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP.
Grant & Fund Accounting
- Track grant funding and monitor restricted and unrestricted funds.
- Prepare grant-related financial reports and reconciliations.
- Partner with program and development teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
- Assist with annual budgeting and monthly financial reporting.
- Analyze budget-to-actual results and explain variances.
- Support forecasting, planning, and financial analysis initiatives.
Process Improvement
- Help improve accounting processes and reporting efficiencies.
- Support system enhancements and other finance projects.
- Perform additional accounting responsibilities as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP and strong accounting fundamentals.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Nonprofit or fund accounting experience.
- Experience with Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
- Grant accounting and grant reporting experience.
