Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end mechanical product development, including feasibility, prototyping, validation, certification and supplier coordination.
  • Drive design-for-manufacturability and pilot-builds to deliver scalable, cost-effective production-ready mechanical designs.
  • Develop accurate material, component, and product specifications aligned with quality standards
  • Translate product goals into technical requirements , milestones and prioritized engineering plans.
  • Validate design through testing, prototyping, performance evaluations and third-party compliance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (operations, quality ,sourcing product management) to ensure launch readiness.
  • Own engineering deliverables through the gated sustaining process, driving on-time phase progression.
  • Lead design reviews, FMEA s, and risk mitigation to ensure robust engineering outcomes
  • Engage with end users to identify needs and feed validated ideas into the NPI and sustaining pipeline

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, supplier quality, and product engineering.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing standards, mechanical assemblies, and engineering drawings.
  • Hands-on expertise in metals, polymers, and composites, including forming, machining, and injection molding.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced, self-directed environments.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor.
  • Experienced in 3D modeling, assemblies, technical drawings, and PDM/PLM systems.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
  • Skilled in supplier coordination and engineering collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills.
