Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Lead daily distribution center operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, service, inventory, and cost objectives.
• Establish operational priorities and ensure alignment with organizational goals and customer expectations.
• Monitor and drive performance through key operational metrics, including:
  • Service Levels
  • Productivity
  • Inventory Accuracy
  • Quality Performance
  • Safety Metrics
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflow, throughput, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure consistent execution of standard operating procedures across all operational functions.

People Leadership & Talent Development

• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, managers, and frontline leadership teams.
• Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive performance management, succession planning, workforce development, and employee retention initiatives.
• Build leadership capabilities and support long-term talent growth across the organization.
• Promote an inclusive and high-performing workplace culture.

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

• Identify operational challenges and opportunities through data analysis and performance reviews.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives to improve efficiency and service performance.
• Drive change management efforts supporting operational transformation and growth.
• Implement process improvements that increase productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Champion a safety-first culture throughout the facility.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain inventory integrity, operational controls, and audit readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on workplace safety and quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to all quality and compliance requirements in regulated environments.

Financial & Business Management

• Manage labor planning, staffing strategies, workforce utilization, and operational budgets.
• Monitor operating expenses and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Utilize analytics, reporting, and KPI dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
• Partner with senior leadership to align operational execution with company strategy and growth objectives.
• Support capacity planning and long-term operational readiness initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 9+ years of professional experience in operations, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse management.
• 4+ years of leadership experience managing teams through supervisors and/or managers.
• Experience leading operations within:
  • Distribution Centers
  • Warehousing
  • Logistics
  • Manufacturing
  • Production Environments
• Proven success managing operational performance through KPIs and business metrics.
• Experience with workforce planning, labor management, budgeting, and expense control.
• Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement and change management initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Preferred Qualifications

• Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence Certification.
• Experience in:
  • Healthcare Distribution
  • Pharmaceutical Distribution
  • Highly Regulated Environments
• Knowledge of:
  • OSHA Regulations
  • FDA Requirements
  • Quality Management Systems
• Experience with ERP systems such as:
  • SAP
  • Oracle
  • JD Edwards (JDE)
• Experience leading large-scale operational transformation programs.
• Advanced expertise in inventory management and workforce optimization.
