Sr. Mechanical Product Development Engineers

Responsibilities Kforce's client, a growing engineering technology company is seeking a couple of Senior Mechanical Product Development Engineers in Wheat Ridge, CO. We are working directly with the hiring manager on these exclusive searches. The company offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, annual bonus, and stock/RSUs. Overview: The Senior Mechanical Product Development Engineer will lead the design, development, analysis, and validation of advanced mechanical systems and products from concept through production. This role requires strong expertise in mechanical design, engineering analysis, manufacturing processes, and cross-functional collaboration, while serving as a technical leader and mentor within the engineering organization. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems, components, and assemblies
• Create detailed 3D models and engineering documentation using CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX
• Perform engineering analysis including FEA, CFD, thermal, vibration, and structural simulations
• Oversee prototyping, testing, validation, and failure analysis activities
• Drive products through the full product lifecycle from concept to production
• Collaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews and technical decision-making
• Serve as technical lead on major development projects and drive innovative engineering solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field
• At least 5+ years of mechanical design and product development experience
• Strong background in mechanical design, material selection, and engineering analysis
• Experience with CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX
• Knowledge of FEA, CFD, testing, and validation methodologies
• Experience working with manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability
• Demonstrated leadership, project management, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
